Booklet: Designing and developing styles and templates with WPF

This 60-page booklet deals with the basics of styles and templates and uses a sample project and several code sections to demonstrate how to quickly and easily utilise the advantages of WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) when designing own programs.

Program interfaces for classic Windows applications can be designed and programmed in multiple ways. While WinForms is tailored specifically to the underlying Windows APIs, WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation) is much more flexible and powerful.

Over more than 60 pages, the booklet first outlines the basics and explains how to define the elements of a program interface using styles and templates. A sample project is used consistently for this purpose, with snippets of code being drawn on to show how to use WPF. In addition to core topics such as styles and templates, topics such as data binding and triggers are also addressed.
