This 52-page booklet explains what is meant by application lifecycle management and which open source tools support stakeholders and the team in the development process. The booklet then looks purposefully at Microsoft tools that can help with ALM. The report is rounded off by personal experiences from bbv experts.

Application lifecycle management (ALM) tools are increasing in popularity as agile development becomes more widespread. These tools support all stakeholders in a software project during the entire lifecycle.

The 52-page booklet is split into three parts. The first section looks at the question of what ALM actually is. The second part contains a market overview of ALM tools with their advantages and disadvantages. The Microsoft Team Foundation Server is then addressed in detail in the final part.
