Smooth operation and safety for ski resorts: The SisControl solution from Sisag offers customers the latest data and projections for their installations at a glance so that they can respond quickly to unforeseen events. Thanks to an agile development approach and modern cloud technologies, Siscontrol was up and running at the customer site in just a few months.
Sisag AG is one of the two major providers of electrical control and information systems for cable cars in Switzerland. Sisag wanted to develop a platform for railway operators in ski resorts, which would show decision-makers all of the data for their cable cars and maintenance groups at a glance.
The available development time was limited owning to an upcoming trade show. bbv therefore chose an agile approach for the development with a cloud architecture based on Microsoft Azure and the Azure IoT hub. Consistent use of cloud services meant that the platform could be developed quickly. In addition to scrum, the TDD and ATDD methods ensured the high quality of the software. After just four months, SisControl was successfully launched as an innovation at the world’s largest trade show for alpine technology, Interalpin.
